Version 1.2.1 of the FREEWARE (ADWARE) Webotron Stocks is ready for download now.
What is Webotron Stocks? It is a software to analyze the stockmarket. There are trade advisors and stock trading systems included into the software. Try it, it’s free.
What is new?
- Ok, first of all, Webotron Stocks is an ADWARE now. What does this mean? It means Webotron is still a FREEWARE for all Users but there are some areas on the interface where the software displays ads.
- I added an equity graph to the backtest page.
- I added a lot of more stock trading systems.
- There exsits no Installer Version of the software anymore. Download the ZIP file, unzip it on your desktop and you can immediately start using the stock analyzer by clicking on the Webotron Stocks.exe. Nice Idea: Put the software on an USB Stick to use it everywhere.
- At least: I repaired some bugs.
I am a new user of webotron and find it very interesting. I was wondering if there is a way to get a manual for it? Either download or via purchase.

The more systems the better! Although it is getting time consuming to recalculate the systems, and I only have 24 in my list (I try to do it weekly to keep it fresh). Still, if you aren’t willing to put in a few hours homework then you don’t deserve to make the money!
The adware doesn’t bother me at all, especially since it’s for your site!
I really don’t use the backtest so the graph doesn’t really matter to me.
I’m glad some bugs were fixed but I have one that seems to be still there. When you press the up and down arrows next to your stocks sometimes instead of moving one at a time it fast scrolls through all of them or jumps to the end. This happens on two computers with different software downloads on each and it happened in the previous version too.
All in all a super software and I can’t say “Thank You” enough. I’ve been using it for the past 6 months to great success once I found a method that works for me.
I’d love to give some imput for imporvements and added features for any previous versions if you desire and help out in any way that I can (sorry though, I’m not a programmer). Feel free to contact me.

Oh, this is no error this is, (I call it) “Overthinking”. One of my problems
I thought it could be a great feature to give the users the possibility to jump directly to the end of the list by doubleclicking the arrow (down) buttons. I’ll delete this feature with the next version. You are not the first one who mentioned it. Instead of doubleclicking try only to press the button.
You know any suggestion is welcome.

Well, I try to only click it once. Unfortunatly that often does not cause it to move at all even though I see the graphic button “depress”. Often I end up bouncing from top to bottom to top to bottom like a ping pong game only to get discouraged. This seems to be more frequent on my laptop via touchpad but also happens on 4 different desktop PC’s.
I can see how it is a good feature, but I don’t know if there is a problem with expected timing of the clicks.
Another possible solution would be to add the ability to “arrow” down or up within the stock lists. Currently the only way to move the list is with the graphic interface.
For any possible problems or suggestions, is there an e-mail address to use to send them to? I know your site had a forum before the update, is that gone now?

The PDF documentation includes a discussion of the “Daily Journal”, but the button for that is missing. Is this a future enhancement we can look forward to or do I have the wrong version of the software?

the Daily Journal is a relict of an older version. I had a lot of work with it but nobody used it. So, the end of the story, I removed this feature.

One last word Ron. Always keep in mind, the software can help you to be a successful trader, but it’s not a holy grail. You are the holy grail. Never stop learning
